I got my first pony when I was two, and it’s been an absolute obsession ever since. My mom still tells stories about how she would be doing dishes and she’d look out the window, and see her 2.5-3 year old (who she thought was just in the other room), climbing up the fence and jumping onto the backs of the farm horses. Or how I would get her called out of work because I would escape my preschool and run across a very busy highway to pet the horses that were pastured there. Aside from giving my mother premature heart attacks, I have 20 years of competitive riding, grooming, training and caretaking experience of horses of all disciplines, ages, and abilities. From days old foals to retired seniors well into their 30’s, I’ve seen it all firsthand and there isn’t much I haven’t done or could handle. Whatever your needs are- grooming, feeding, turnout, exercise (lunge line, in hand/showmanship work, to light riding or even keeping up with your current program just while you’re away), blanketing, stall and bard cleaning, trailering, practically anything you could need- I can do it all, and I treat every horse I meet like it’s my own. They will have the absolute best care with exceptional attention to detail. From measuring out supplements just right, leg wrapping, bathing, to walking fields to make sure there’s no holes to be stepped into, broken fencing or other debris that can cause injury, or toxic plants to be eaten, I don’t leave anything to chance and absolutely nothing is left behind for someone else to do later. Horses are my life’s passion, and my work will always convey that. I’d honestly be more grateful for the time to be around them than worried about how much I’m paid. So if I’m hired for a total of 10-20 hours, don’t be surprised if I’m there for 40 and don’t expect any additional compensation. I genuinely appreciate every minute that I get to spend with horses, and I would love to be the one you trust to take care of yours!
