About Lisa

I have always had love and respect for these beautiful, smart, and powerful creatures; Horses. I started riding Horses with Guides up into High Country, on diverse terrain & trails, and on beaches & in the ocean; in Washington, Idaho, New Mexico, and Mexico. I had the opportunity in 2015 to be a Pro-bono Assistant Horseman for a Private Owner. I learned Heart-Centric Horsemanship & Equine relations building while rehabilitating an Arabian. Rehabilitation included riding, liberty & halter exercises & training. While doing so, I provided Caregiving for (12) Horses- grooming, custom feeding, water, in & out of pastures to paddocks, & cleaning stalls. The other Horse breeds were Friesian, Stallion, Thoroughbred & Retired race horses. Also, I provided Caregiving Services for 2 weeks while the Owner was out-of-town. Amazing year. In 2018, I began Volunteering for Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center in Redmond, WA. I was a Line Leader, Paddock, Groomer, Side Walker, and a Header & Prop Handler for Physical Therapy Hippo class sessions. Also, volunteered during Summer Camp. 4 years of Volunteer Service. In 2021, I became an Equine Crew Member at Willowcrest Stables & Pastures in Redmond, WA. Responsibilities included custom feeding, waters, mucking, cleaning paddocks, horses in & out of pastures and stalls, "breaking up fights" between horses in Pastures, "rounding up an escaped horse", looking for signs of potential health issues, & other miscellaneous ranch tasks. Approximately 45 horses of diverse breeds, body types, ages, and health & trauma issues. Left the Crew after 1 year due to a back injury. In 2023, I began Volunteering at SAFE (Save a Forgotten Equine) in Redmond, WA. Tasks; Maintenance of Outdoor Fields & Paddocks, Mucking, water, hay feeding, grain bags, and barn cleaning. Because these Horses were Rescues, Volunteers were Not Allowed to Bring Horses in & out and physically touch the Horses. Our main Purpose- provide essential needs for the Horses while the Well-Trained Staff do the Amazing Work of Rehabilitating these Horses so they may be Adopted and/ or Live their Remaining Days to the Best of Their Ability. In 2024, I formed a relationship with a customer while I was working a Part-time Retail Job. She had (2) Horses and was looking for a Trail Riding Companion. When she would go Trail Riding, she would have to leave one of the Horses behind. She decided to take me on a Trail Ride so Both Horses could go Together. It worked out Perfectly for Both of us. We agreed on a set day of the week to ride together. In exchange, I picked the small field, fed hay, and groomed the (2) Horses. Also, I took care of her (2) Horses while she was on vacation for a week. Unfortunately, she decided to move out-of-state and sent her (2) Horses to a Boarding Facility. It was great while it lasted. I still go Horseback Riding up in the High Country or in Forested Trails when possible. But, it seems to becoming more difficult to find Guides I trust or Horse Owners who are willing to "think outside the box" and Trust a Rider they "recently met in casual conversation." I love & respect Horses. I follow Instructions, I pay attention to Detail, I am reliable and Trust worthy, and most of all I am Always safe with Horses and myself. I Hope you will Consider Hiring me as Your Stable Sitter.
